We were expecting to get flooded during our match as the radar was looking threatening, but in the end it only rained first quarter . The boys and charlie were really keen to get muddy as I don't think I have ever seen our team go to ground while kicking a ball up till today's match.
The tone of todays match was set by Jasper Jones scoring in the first minute and really getting the Woodside team fired up. It was a real player on player match up today, with all team mates from both teams really getting in there and attacking the ball.
Murray bridges goalie was exceptional stopping most attempts, but only letting through the unstoppable goals . Mitchell Beekmans goal going over the goalies head in the top corner of the net and Samuel Collas' goal crossing across the goal from left to right on a fierce angle.
Charlie Knipe had lots of close attempts and was always putting herself in the right position to feed the ball . Well done to both teams on a beautiful winters morning.
