Hahndorf Soccer Club vs Murray Bridge United Soccer Club Blue

U10 Mixed Match Report: Round 2 (13th April 2024) – Handorf SC vs Murray Bridge SC

The second game of the season kicked off early once all bladders were emptied. With both teams having enough players each, it was off to a good start. Murray Bridge won the “toss” and kicked off first.

Michael Griggs defended well and kicked the ball long into the attack zone where Ollie Drake passed the ball to Felix Breitweg who had his first attempt at goal. Harry Ramsey was able to use some fancy footwork to keep the ball from Murray Bridge and passed it to Will Neelawala who scored for the Hahndorf Magpies.

The adrenaline was flowing and Eric Jager defended well kicking the ball to Drake who confidently passed it to Edward Hung who was able to keep the ball from Murray Bridge using outstanding skills, passing it to Breitweg who scored another goal!!

Charlie Roeszler put his body on the line saving goal after goal, showcasing his phenomenal goal keeping skills. Kealan Atkinson was instrumental in defense assisting both Roeszler and Jager. Griggs was able to use his power kicks in defense and prevent Murray Bridge from getting momentum.

Neelawala was impressive with his header and confident with the free kick attempt. Breitweg had got to take a penalty showing his substantial ability. Jager proved to provide the pressure on Murray Bridge and Ramsey assisted in both attack and defense.

Neelawala, Breitweg and Hung were able to score more goals from the sensational team effort from the Hahndorf Magpies making the second game of the season a nail biter and so much fun to watch.

We look forward to watching the team improve even more moving forward. Great job everyone in U10’s Hahndorf Magpies!
