The weather was cold and fine although balmy by comparison with previous rounds at this most alpine of venues. This time it was Bridgewater Blue, fast becoming a steadfast rival as the season has developed that hosted the Warriors. The visitors sported a couple of new faces in Riley and Liam as the twins Ethan and Morgan are still on overseas tour and Adam is convalescing at home. Freddie warmed his hands in the keeper's gloves in the first term, defiantly but confidently displaying his characteristic boots-first keeping style in the face of persistent attacks from Bridgewater. Meanwhile, Eddie, sporting a menacing new hairstyle and ring-in Liam covered a lot of ground in the midfield setting up several attacks of our own. Billy persistently peppered the Bridgewater goal without joy while Leon consistently delivered the ball into the forward lines and Riley dug the ball out of the left-forward corner to threaten the goal yet again. Finally, the Bridgewater defence was breached by a searching strike from Archer toward the middle of the opening term.

In the second half, Leon defended the net with as miserly a result as Fred in the first despite repeated and earstwhile attempts by Bridgewater in attack. Leon's cause was ably assisted by the ever-present Odin who is building a formidable reputation as a brick wall in defense. The Bridgewater goal-line was menacingly attacked by several promising forays into attack from Warriors Mitchell and Freddie who's maiden scoring effort is surely imminent. On other occasions various combinations including Archer, Billy, Odin, Mitchell and Eddie teamed up in offense posting some threatening crosses past the box. Despite a gritty and nail-biting second term, neither team was able to add to the tally. Coach Troy was well pleased with his team's effort and is looking optimistically to the closing rounds of their first season together.
