Match report

A foggy morning cleared to reveal perfect sunny conditions for the opening games of the AHJFA season! The U8s were buzzing, a few feeling a bit nervous before their first ever game of soccer, but once the game with Torrens Valley got underway they were all soon into it! 

An early Torrens Valley goal was followed by a Hahndorf goal, and this back and forth continued throughout the match, with both teams finding the net a few times. Cheers for William Moran & Asa Bartsch who both scored goals playing forward for HSC.

Torrens Valley were great at wanting the ball and getting it forward but persistent defending by Axel Pym & Finn Bond kept it out of the net, as well as solid work by the goalies. A particularly impressive save by Levi Roberts in the second half drew admiring cheers from the supporters.

Overall, a fun, friendly & evenly matched game to start off the season – go u8s!!
