Hahndorf played Stirling Disticts Blue on what were perfect conditions for a football match; cool with a dry field. The first half was a tight contest between the two teams as they competed offensively and defensively. Thomas Gould and Patrick Freer both had early touches with runs up the wing, well placed corner kicks and solid strikes at goal. Jack Gaskin and Lachlan Gardner both had impressive runs through the mid field working through the opposition defences. Luc Russack-Putallaz and Eli Parkyn both worked well together clearing dangerous balls deep in defence providing opportunities for the forward players like Hugo Curtis, Ashon Broadbent and Freer to attack the goals with real opportunities to score. The second half continued to be a tight tussle between the two teams. Stirling had a couple of real opportunities to score but Pearl Beesley working as goalie was up to the task with two amazing saves until, under great pressure, a goal was scored by the opposition. This score seemed to increase the intensity for Hahndorf who worked both on and off the ball much harder moving the ball well and playing a good team game. This lead to more opportunities for scoring in which Freer eventually capitalised to level the match just before full time.
