Match report
A wet day and a muddy pitch greeted the players today.  Hahndorf were under attack immediately, with Angus Mifsud and Luca Cannavo showing they meant business today.
The ball hindered by the muddy conditions found itself at Woodside's goal area.  Levi Beesley  managed to get the ball, passing it to Harry Gould who took a strike on goal.
With some great passing by Thomas Gould, Isaac Bonilla-Killey and L Beesley the ball made its way to Pepi Zahra, who just missed the goal.  Defence were again put under pressure by Woodside, with Daniel Peters knocking the ball out to stop their strikers. The ball passed down by Hayden Lien and Pearl Beesley to the goal area giving P Zahra an opportunity for Hahandorf's first goal. Woodside went on the attack again and from a corner scored their first goal. Goalie Patrick Hinze was tested a couple of times, but managed to save Woodside's attempts on goal. After some great defence by Woodside, Peters managed to get the ball through to Jet Zahra who scored his first goal of the game, which was followed by 2 very quick goals by J Zahra giving him a hat trick for the game. Not to be outdone by his brother P Zahra scored another goal.  Woodside still had some fight in them in the first half and managed to score 2 quick goals before the whistle.
With Cooper Liddle taking over as goalie for Hahndorf, Hinze was put to work in the midfield, passing the ball to Lien who took a shot on goal, just missing. Not giving up, Lien managed to score from a great corner by H Gould.  Liddle was put under pressure, but managed to punch the ball away.  Woodside's defence was kept busy, with the play in the Hahndorf goal area for a while.  When the ball did go down to the Woodside half, Cannavo and Mifsud kept the ball away from the goals, giving the midfield  the ball so that J Zahra could score his 4th goal of the game. Keeping their fighting spirit going, Liddle managed to make a great save, but unfortunately Woodside managed to score their fourth goal of the game.
