Match report

It was a cold and windy morning that greeted the teams on Saturday with Woodside red hosting Stirling districts. The cold has an effect with both teams slow to get going. 

Early play was dominated by Stirling in our defensive half but our defence held strong and scores remained nil all.

16 minutes in we conceded a textbook goal from a corner, despite great efforts from our defence and the keeper.

The rest of the first half was evenly matched with some great opportunities created by our forwards but unfortunately none of them managing to finish.

Score at half time 0-1.

The second half saw a change in goalie and even ranging play up and down the pitch by both teams. After some brilliant attacks by Woodside we unfortunately conceded another goal again from a corner in the 65th minute. The rest of the game was evenly matched to finish with a score of 0-2.

Overall a fantastic effort by Woodside, great keeping, rock solid defence and some fantastic attacks. Well done everybody.
