This morning Nairne hosted Hahndorf in a game where both teams were exposed to all elements and a difficult pitch to play in places.

Hahndorf’s first half attacking pressure was high, skilful and team oriented. The sustained effort over the game resulting in players scoring multiple times. The second half saw a resurgent and determined Nairne team capitalise and remain competitive.

Nico Moran was busy through the game, quick to open the scoring for Hahndorf from the wing and was equally busy in the goals for the second half. Danny Morgan was creative, working the Nairne defenders with delicate footwork and scoring from his efforts.

Henley Crook was in the mix up forward, working hard and when the opportunity presented itself, he goaled. Harrison Whitehead was on the receiving end of a well centred pass and finished off with a goal showcasing his skill today.

Thomas Gould read the play well as goal keeper in tricky conditions quickly sending the ball back forward for Hahndorf and was rewarded with his efforts goaling in the second.

Yit Xuan Chok proved to be hard to get past in defence putting his body on the line solidly defending for Hahndorf with high work rate.

Pearl Beesley started the game in ably in defence covering space well and began the second half scoring early for Hahndorf with a strong kick.

Mason Saywell was busy covering a lot of ground over the game with passes to players in space and goaled part way through the second half.

Archie Keogh was in the mix through the game going forward with the ball and making many gains down the wing working well with his Hahndorf counterparts.

Despite starting on the side Noah Duggan came on with quick impact scoring from wide with skill and had a presence on the pitch.

Archie Greene was everywhere on the pitch today and with his repeat efforts was able to goal.

Well done to both teams with the game played in a good spirit despite the trying conditions.
