There was excitement in the air for the u9s round 16 clash between Hahndorf and Strathalbyn Red at Strathalbyn! Everyone was happy to be back and playing soccer!

Hahndorf were quick off the mark with the ball being pushed into their forward half. Rowan Gilroy showed precision passing early on, which led to a Hahndorf corner early on. Owen Hoyle also showed some magnificent passing which led to Hahndorf's first goal from Thomas Gould. Hahndorf continued the attack with another shot on goal from Soren Mickan. Hahndorf persisted and found the back of the net again through Gould. Strathalbyn fought hard but Gilroy was strong in defence for Hahndorf, as was Hugo Curtis as Goalkeeper. Levi Neumann was fired up and ended the first half with two quick goals in succession.

In the second half, Hahndorf maintained pressure in the forward half, with Mason Saywell and Oliver Knight strong in the midfield. Great teamwork and passing led to Gilroy scoring a great goal for Hahndorf. Strathalbyn were strong in defence with plenty of shots on goal from Hahndorf from Curtis, Mickan and Knight. Hahndorf showed some great passing and skills which led to their final goal from Neumann just before the end of the game. It was a great team effort from both sides today!
