Match report
The clash between Hahndorf and Woodside Blue was nothing short of thrilling as both teams showcased their skills and determination on the field.

The match kicked off with Hahdorf fielding a solid defesive lineup of Saxon Sulskis (C) and Hamish Glynn, with Charlie Roeszler guarding the goalpost. On the offensive front, Harris Parkyn and Miles Hennessy showed formidable aggression. With Michael Griggs and Leo Davis being the crucial link between defence and attack.

The first notable moment occurred when Hennessy took a powerful shot at the goal, only to have it deflected by the valiant Woodside goalie. It was a courageous save that set the tone for the Woodside defensive performance, putting their body and indeed their face on the line.

Hahndorf continued to press forward with two more shots on goal. The first came from Hennessy, and the second from Parkyn, which hit the top bar.

Shortly after these close calls, Hennessy managed to break through the Woodside defence and netted the first goal of the match.

Woodside, however, didn't back down. They quickly organised a reply, but Hahndorfs defence held strong, with Roeszler making some crucial saves. After a barrage of attacks Woodside finally slipped one through.

The second half saw a flurry of activity, with multiple shots on goal from Hahndorf. Hennessy, Parkyn, Griggs and Davies worked tirelessly together, testing the Woodside goalkeeper and defence.

Woodside also was peppering the defence with multiple attacks on goal. Hahndorfs defence of Sulskis, Glynn and Roeszler held strong clearing the ball time and again working well together.

The climax of the match arrived when, in a collective effort, Davies and Griggs managed to create an opportunity. The Woodside goalkeeper initially stopped the shot, but Hennessy was there to put it back into the net, securing the second goal for Hahndorf.

As the final whistle blew, It was a well-fought match with moments of brilliance from both teams, Hahndorfs teamwork and persistence a signature of the days play.
