Woodside's U17 Blue team ventured out to their home ground to take on Stirling Districts U17.  Initially looking as though it would rain, the sun actually shone through the clouds for most of the match.

From the outset the teams looked evenly matched.  Woodside had some excellent attacking plays during the first half, but weren't able to convert. On the counter-attack Stirling put one in the net before half time.

The second half proceeded similarly with competitive, fair play from both sides. An unfortunate own goal from a Woodside boot into Stirling's net gave them the 2-0 lead.  Not to be disheartened the Woodside players stepped it up and pushed a little harder managing to get one on the board.  With this boost the Woodside players pushed again and again, and with a strike deflected from the post back into play a Woodside player was able to knock another one over the line.  

With the scores locked at 2-2 Stirling stepped their intensity up a level and made a strong push forward. Woodside's defence held strong clearing some strong shots toward goal as Stirling attempted to take the lead again. Not to be however as the final whistle blew for a 2 all draw.
