There was a buzz of excitement for the Stirling District team when they realised for once they would be able to play with a full team! Both teams agreed on playing 10 a side as Mount Barker had many team members away for the holidays. With two players eagerly waiting to get onto the field the Stirling District team took charge early on in the game and scored their first goal (for the season) at 3 minutes into the game. This was such an exciting moment for Charlotte Langley as she was able to get a clear path to the goal and took it with confidence.The pace of the game kept moving from there - with much more oportunity for Stirling District to celebrate as another goal was scored in the first half by Polly Harrison in the 26th minute. 

The team met at half time celebrating their achievments on the field. Bill talked the girls through their positions and they supported each other through all of their strengths and fears for what the second half of the game would bring. They set out strong with Emma Heinrich taking her first goal in the first minute back in. Mount Barker wasn't going to let the game keep going in Stirling District's strength and scored a powerful goal not long after. The Stirling District team fought back hard and scored three more goals with Hannah Noonan taking her first ever goal!
