An overcast but warm morning, the Torrens Valley U10 team made the trip to the Murray Bridge home ground. The smaller Torrens Valley side was greeted by a large Murray Bridge team in high spirits. The Murray Bridge Coach was kind enough to provide the Torrens Valley team with two extra players to play 9-aside.

At kick off, Murray bridge started strong with some brilliant strikes towards the goals, keeping the Torrens Valley goalkeeper very busy.

Torrens came into the game about 10 minutes in and had a few shots at goal themselves but none hitting the back of the net.

At the half time whistle both teams headed to the break with no goals.

Torrens came out strong in the second half but not strong enough for the strike at goal from Murray Bridge #14. A fantastic goal placing the ball straight above the Torrens Valley goalkeeper’s head keeping it out of reach of his hands as he tried to jump to stop it. The Torrens Valley defence worked hard and did a great job at turning the ball over and getting it to their strikers with Torrens Valley player #20 scoring the equalizer.

An exciting finish to the game with both teams trying hard to score another goal. Neither team being successful in scoring again, but having a great time playing the game.
