Match report

For the first time this season Woodside Gold had all 10 players to meet Stirling at Mylor. Good passages of play by both teams were seen for the first 10 minutes. Charlie Dvorak and Ashley Hendrie were defending anything that came their way while Toby Rieman and "captain of the day" Jack Hogan were pushing the ball forward. Stefan Sims and Logan Piegalo are improving with every game and fired off some shots but just off the mark. Toby Smith sprinted 30 metres with the ball under pressure and hit the bottom left corner to see Gold take the lead. In every match so far Gold has been the first to score.

The first half had been an even tussle but as the match progressed the experience of Stirling began to show. They passed the ball much better to find gaps in Gold's defence allowing them to score some goals. Gold's practised plan to get the ball well down the pitch from the goalkeeper was working well and chances fell to Jo Smith and Zaion Lorefice. Mason Payne in his first match got a few kicks and while Gold didn't score again, overall it was a good team effort.
