The U14 Strathalbyn Strikers hosted Hahndorf, within the opening minutes of the game Hahndorf strikers James Austin and Harry Williams had a couple attempts towards the net but it was Strathalbyn that scored the first goal. Austin responded quickly getting Hahndorf on the scoreboard as well. It didn't take long before Strath scored again followed by Williams for Hahndorf to even the score to 2 all. After the quick succession of goals, play settled and Hahndorf midfielders Julian Hack, Angus McCrone, William Whiting and Matthew Knight played well together moving the ball up the pitch but Hahndorf's strikers just couldn't quite find the back of the net. Strath was putting pressure on the Hahndorf defence line of Gabe Aylen, Orland Rettig, Konrad Michael and Damon Martin, breaking through to score 3 more goals before half time. The second half got under way with Austin adding another goal to Hahndorf's tally but again Strath responded quickly with another goal. Hahndorf was working hard as a team, Tom Boekel as goalie made same great saves and with the defence line catching Strath players offside a few times, it helped turn the play back into Hahndorf's favour with Austin kicking a goal. Hahndorf's attempts towards the net didn't result in any further goals and Strath went on to score 3 more goals to win the match 9-4.
