Hahndorf opened the game with a bang, scoring the first goal in the first minute, after an explosive run straight to goal by James.This served as a wake up call and Woodside Warrors Blue responded by stepping up a gear and beginning a relentless campaign in attack.
Tom Boekel and the Hahndorf defence line of Elwin, Orland, Gabe and Matt worked together well to prevent multiple attempts.
Woodside showed a high level of skill and fitness to make the most of gaps and progressively wore down the Hahndorf defenders.
Later in the second half, defenders Gabe Orland & Stefan worked together but were not able to stem the goal scoring.
In his 15 minutes on the field, Hamish Robinson showed determination to win the ball and was unlucky to succumb after a skillful turnover against the Woodside attack.
The Hahndorf defence never gave up, but Woodside's fitness and the strong performances by their midfield and attack meant they won the day comprehensively.
