Match report

The U10s played Torrens Valley at home this week. It was drizzling at kick off and it looked to be a rather wet game. Jhett Frost scored the first goal of the game in the early minutes of the match. Followed with a second shot by Frost that was defended by the Torrens Valley goalie. Conner Ozolins also had a shot on goal which was caught by the goalie, and little later Ozolins successfully found the net, bringing U10s their second goal. Lucca Falvo-Lopez and Ashon Broadbent also had goals on target which were saved by the keeper. Cohen Whinfield and Caleb Early filled the defense, with Early playing a strong 1:1 defensive move, cutting off the opponents run and Whinfield saving a goal late in the half. The second half saw several more attempts on goal, including a quick pass from Whinfield to Cootes that swung just wide of the mark. Lachlan Gardner was strong in defense gaining a free kick to smoothly bring the ball back to Hahndorf's attacking half. The final goal of the game was brought by Whinfield late in the second half. Just before final whistle the sun came out on the pitch, topping off a fine game for the U10 team.
