The Rangers came out flying with an early goal followed shortly after by another strong kick slipping just through Eric Jager’s hands. Hahndorf turned up the defence with Carter Karamanov and Will Neelawala helping protect the goals but the Rangers were determined and pushed forward for another well placed kick into the net. Next time the Rangers offensive pressure was blocked by Brooklyn Karamanov who got the ball to Kealan Atkinson for a great dribble down the pitch. C. Karamanov pushed it forward hoping to finish it off, but a tackle by the Rangers send it back the other way. Art Neville and Atkinson slowed them down with a great block but they fought on, sending it into the back of the net again.

Despite the kicks getting through, keeper Jager stood strong and managed a few great saves. A goal kick out saw the ball delivered down to Hahndorf’s end by W. Neelawala, C. Karamanov and B. Karamanov. Rangers defence were fighting hard, but Atkinson managed an excellent goal from the corner of the box. This was celebrated with some huge cheers and hugs from his teammates! Charlie Kilpatrick and captain Zeek Neelawala put on some great pressure, slowing down the Rangers but unable to stop the Rangers striker who wound up for a huge kick at goal. Keeper Jager was onto it with an amazing save, followed up by another save within 30 seconds - not giving in under the relentless attack. 

W. Neelawala started off the second half with some great defence, getting the ball to B. Karamanov who ran it down but was met with strong defensive pressure from the Rangers. A swift heel kick by Jager turned it back around with W. Neelawala pushing forward and finishing with a kick just down the side of the goal. Back at the Rangers end a throw in led to a tussle in front of the box, Hahndorf trying hard to help keeper Atkinson but unable to stop the determined striker. This was followed soon after by another strong kick into the net by Rangers.

Hahndorf weren’t giving up though, with B. Karamanov taking a few good runs down the pitch and a shot on goal by Kilpatrick, saved by Rangers keeper. C. Karamanov, Neville and Jager showed good defensive pressure, slowing them down prior to a great save by Atkinson. Rangers kept attacking though, forcing Atkinson to keep watch, making a couple more excellent saves before the final whistle!
