Match report

What a cracker of a day for round 4 kick offs. Torrens Valley came to Warriors home ground for a midday kick off. Warriors hit the ground racing from the first whistle. Warriors had control of the ball and passed it around for a while as they found their groove and they certainly found it. Today Warriors players were united and played as one strong team. They held possession and Sidney Cotton, Israel Maxwell and Domenico Silvestri scored the first 3 goals in the first 8 minutes of play. Torrens Valley continued to apply pressure to Warriors players, but they rose to the challenge. Warriors girls Poppy Thomas and Matisse Mack were a force to be reckoned with and when they teamed up together in midfield nothing was getting past. Morgan Burroughes, Oliver Boerth, James Lunnon and Max Davis formed a Warriors wall of defense, they stood strong together and continuously push forward denying Torrens Valley access to their goals. Warriors player of the day Mackenzie Olsson made his mark by kicking 3 goals in 10 minutes. D.Silvestri also kicked a goal within that 10 minutes and James Lunnon Kicked the last goal for the first half. With 8 goals on the scoreboard Coach Tony Burroughes and Assistant Coach J.P Davis switched things up. Barnaby Bevan came out of goals for a run and with his speed and precision passing he was able to keep Warriors in possession of the ball and ultimately helped Warriors get a few quick goals. Torrens Valley were persistent and continued to attack the ball at every opportunity and even managed some shots at goal. Oliver Boerth was swapped from defense to forward to try for a goal and after a few attempts managed to sink one into the net for his first goal since playing competitive. Jesse Mewett was another Warrior player that showed a hidden talent today, boy can he run. When he teamed up with Eddie Moylan to chase down a ball, 9 out of 10 times they managed to get it.  Not once did Torrens Valley drop their heads, they continued to give it their all to the very end. Well played Torrens Valley. Warriors goal kickers S.Cotton(1), I.Maxwell(1), D.Silvestri(5), M.Olsson(3), J.Lunnon(1), E.Moylan(1), O.Boerth(1) and M.Davis(1)
