It was yet another perfect morning for soccer as we welcomed the Whites from Stirling. After Captain Dorothy elected to kick the oversized ball downhill in the first half, our defence was put under early pressure from the relentless visitors. After weathering the storm we started to work our way into the contest towards half time, beginning to string some passes together and working as a team.
The fruit and chocolate break appeared to sharpen our focus further, the team defending stoutly in the second half to deny the skilful Whites any further goals. We enjoyed a few attacking forays of our own, and with all players rotating on and off the field this gave us fresh legs to run out the game strongly. Some pleasing signs overall, in particular during the second half, and if we can continue to run and surge forward we’ll put opposition teams under pressure.
