What A Game

What a game it was a beautiful start with a crisp air attached to some beautiful sunshine. Parents and Kids were all excited as it was the first week we had had 100% attendance to a game and all were itching to be on the field. The game began with a a tight tussel between Stirling and woodside as it always has been in the past and Pressure was applied by both teams. Stirling was the first to score , but was quickly levelled when scott schults scored a goal through about ten players from way out from the box it was un expected but exciting scott fell over in disbelief when he saw it go in.

The quarter continued with out another score, most of the time down the stirling end, but woodside unable to convert the score. then suddenly in the last 12 seconds of the fiorst half stirling broke away and rattled poor hannah  in goals and and kicked a swift one behind her. The whistle blew like an arrow in the heart after all the fight before.

Second half Samuel Colla went into goals and Anthony Balacco changed to attack which is out of his comfort zone as he loves his defence. Also Jasper Jones and Max Armstrong went into attack. it was a real flip of the teams usual positions, we need to try something as we just couldn't brake through their defence.

bang the whistle blew and anthoiny , jasper and max flew out of the blocks within 30 seconds Anthony had broken free and shot a 2nd goal for woodside what a moment level again.

2 all 24 minutes remaining.

The ball went back and forth back and forth , but stirling was definitely applying the pressure. Matthew Hacquoil was providing the last line of defence often and william huntley continued to do his legendary clearing passes. It was a corner Samuel Colla was sweating in goals as they were attacking hard bang it hit the net but wait umpire says no goal scored within the box a life, will it be enough. 3 minutes go by another corner . our hearts are racing on the side lines the subs feeling helpless. Crack the spear it towards the goal samuel dives to his right what a save. Game is still on, same boots it past half way relieving the pressure for the last 5 minutes and we  finish with a 2 all draw. great Game team everyone contributed through out the game which made the difference.
