Match report

The clouds cleared to make for a beautiful morning for the u8s Round 8 clash between Hahndorf and Nairne. The first half was a tough battle where neither team was able to score. Nairne were successful in stopping any of Hahndorf's play from reaching goal.  Indie Dunning from Hahndorf was strong in goal and stopped any attempt to score that Nairne made. Superb footwork from Levi Neumann and Soren Mickan saw the ball taken from Nairne and passed to Owen Hoyle who came so close to scoring a few times in the first half along with great attempts from Mickan. Joshua Blain was solid in defence for the match and kept the ball from reaching Nairne's goal. The second half saw Hahndorf come out and work brilliantly as a team to score some quick goals in succession.  Oliver Knight was in fine form and weaved the ball around Nairne to score Hahndorf's first goal. Mickan quickly followed suit with two more superb goals. Neumann was strongly determined all game in attack and finished the match with great play that led to him scoring two goals. Rosie Semple in goals held off any attempts Nairne made to score while Ali Semple and Carter Hartley played well in midfield sending the ball towards Hahndorf goal. It was an excellent game by both teams and many fine skills were displayed by all players.
