Round 7 – 29th May – Hahndorf v Murray Bridge

Hahndorf’s Under 8’s soccer team took on Murray Bridge at the Hahndorf Soccer ground Saturday morning. 

From the opening whistle, Hahndorf put on a solid effort showcasing strong defence and attacking skills. Jasper Christou, Hugo Dahmke and Hamish Glynn did an excellent job up forward bringing the ball down the line multiple times. Angus Clifton kept the pressure on in defence and made a very impressive stop at goal with his head. Brooklyn Rohde defended well and was able to pass the ball down to the forward line in an attempt to create opportunities for the team. While Paddy Coffey in goals saved many strong attempts at goal by Murray Bridge. 

Carter Hartley did a fantastic job defending the goals during the second half, stopping many attempts. Samuel Gardner and Michael Griggs put the pressure on Murray Bridge forward line and did a good job at the back holding the line. 

Although no goals were scored, the whole team did an excellent job defending the strong opposition team. Hahndorf players fought hard and put on a solid effort to the end.
