Match report

We were met with an unseasonably warm Saturday morning at Anembo Park and the match between Hahndorf U9 black and FC Summit White was going to warm things up a little further. Despite being down a couple of players, the Hahndorf team was bolstered by Amelie and Charlotte Rymer from the Hahndorf U9 white team, who ran on immediately after playing in the previous game.

FC Summit started the game with a fast-moving attack, which put significant pressure on the Hahndorf defence. C Rymer and Charlie Roeszler shared the goalkeeping duties in the first half, with great support from Angus Clifton, Hamish Glynn and A Rymer. The Hahndorf team was determined to keep the FC Summit attackers at bay, and they put on an excellent defence effort that managed to contain many of FC Summit's advances.

On the offensive end, the Hahndorf Attackers Miles Hennessy, Michael Griggs, and Harris Parkyn were consistently moving the ball forward and trying to break through the FC Summit defence. They took a number of great shots; however, their efforts were not enough to earn them a goal during the game. Although the game ended without a goal for Hahndorf, the team can hold their heads high, knowing that they gave it their all and played with heart and effort until the final whistle.

In the end, both teams showed great skill, determination, and sportsmanship. The match was a great experience for the young players, who gained valuable experience and had fun on the field. Congratulations to both teams for a well-played game!
