Match report

Hahndorf played Mt Barker at Mt Barker Summit. The rain held out for most of the game, providing cool but good conditions for the players. Hahndorf played offensively for the first half, with great teamwork displayed by Cohen Whinfield, Alice Cannavo and Thomas Gould. When Mt Barker managed to take the offensive, they capitalised quickly scoring a goal. Another shot on goal was diverted by an impressive header by Eli Parkyn, but a second goal was scored over the keeper's head. Goalkeeper Ashon Broadbent-Shaw saved a corner kick from translating to a third goal. 

Jack Gaskin and Pearl Beesley worked well defending and keeping the pressure on Mt Barker. Patrick Freer was awarded a penalty shot but unfortunately didn't convert. In the second half, Hahndorf maintained pressure in the defence with Oliver Ramsay and Beesley pushing forward whenever there was opportunity. Goalkeeper Lachlan Gardner saved a long shot on goal, and Mason Sickerdick had a shot on goal for Hahndorf but was saved by strong defence by Mt Barker. Overall, a well-played and competitive game by Hahndorf with excellent defence throughout the game.
