Match report

The match started on a high, where all girls were keen to play and ready to go. Woodside kicked the game off start a smashing start, moving forward ready to take on the defence but Murray Bridge’s defence were at the ready with a quick turn around and taking on Woodside’s keeper in a few shift movements. Woodside’s keeper was on the ball and ensured her defence line were there to play smart also and regained possession after Murray Bridge were caught offside. With this turn over, Woodside weren’t taking any chances and took the opportunity with everything they had. It certainly paid off, as Woodside’s forward player Abigayle Murphy scored the first goal of the game in the 10th minute. Murray Bridge didn’t let Woodside take in the win for too long as they then scored their first goal of the game only a minute after. The pressure was certainly on.

Half time saw Murray Bridge raring to go and proceeded to continue with the momentum and soon scored a couple of more goals, leaving Woodside’s defence on guard. Play continued to lean in Murray Bridge’s favour and played an excellent game in the forward line.

Well done to all the girls, they certainly played with all they had.  Thank you to the supporters, ref, lines men and ground stewards for all their work.
