Hahndorf played an exciting game against visitors, Blackwood under trying weather conditions, with gusty winds and rain.

Blackwood had a strong start to the game with their midfield driving the ball toward the goal. Goal Keeper, Isaac Bonilla Killey was kept busy, and did a fine job of warding off several attempts at goal. Luca Cannavo, Angus Miffsud and Oliver Saracini Palombo were also strong in the defence line.

Levi Beasley made the first goal attempt for Hahndorf, but narrowly missed. Blackwood followed soon after with the first goal of the game.

Beasley continued strongly in the midfield, and joined forces with Cooper Liddle to set up another attempt at goal. Liddle looked set to score, but the Blackwood keeper made a spectacular dive to prevent the ball entering the net. Harry Gould followed with a goal kick that hit the crossbar, but just minutes later Gould scored the first Hahndorf goal. Blackwood answered with their second goal and the game was in full swing. Blackwood maintained control of the ball in the first half with Luci Tinsley-Smith and Liddle defending strongly.

Hahndorf returned to the second half with renewed energy, playing a much more offensive game. Jet Zahra covered a lot of ground and made several goal attempts. Beasley remained strong, with some beautiful passes. Daniel Peters defended strongly and Haydn Lien displayed speed and ball control. Gould scored the second goal and Hahndorf followed this up with a succession of goals from Zahra (2 goals), and Gould (2 goals).

Blackwood then kept Patrick Hinze busy in goals, with 3 attempts, which he managed to intercept beautifully. Eventually Blackwood broke through with their third goal of the day.

Hahndorf kept up a strong display, with excellent passing from Jacob Gardener and Peters with Tinsley-Smith making her presence felt in defence.

Hahndorf rounded out the game with a goal from Mifsud, making the final score 7-3

Blackwood are to be thanked for a great game.
