Match report
The winter sunshine arrived for the return of the much-anticipated 2020 soccer season.
The Hahndorf Magpie U8s were keen to take on the Woodside Warriors Blue team in what was their first season on the pitch and Soren Mickan began with kick off to start the match up. Violet Mitchell showed great attacking and footwork skills as she passed to Levi Neumann who was able to score his first goal as a Magpie.
Josh Blain and Carter Hartley were great supporters through midfield and another goal was scored by Magpies' Neumann, followed closely by Mickan's first goal.
Oliver Knight stood in as goalie for the first half and was almost able to save Woodside's first attempt at goal. The half closed out with a brilliant strong kick into goals from Josh Pettit.
Owen Hoyle started the second half as goalie and was able to save another Woodside shot at goal. Pettit cracked another ripping goal and the match finished with a great battle between the rival sides.
