Match report

The game today started with a chill in the air.  Hahndorf was first to score with a play down the line, with Harrison crossing to Hayden Lien (the captain of the day) to score the first quick goal.  Murray Bridge were quick to respond with a goal, leveling the score.  Hahndorf responded with a goal by Levi Beesley from the far side, followed by another great play with Levi crossing to the top of the box and Hayden sneaking the ball through for another goal.

Murray Bridge kept up their efforts, making the next shot for goal, well defended by Jet Zahra.

Blane Balcom, Ben Romaldi and Lucy Tinsley-Smith instrumental in defence, the play continued to move between both teams.

The next shot for goals was from Harry Gould crossing to Levi, resulted in a goal.

Next saw Pat Hinze and Cooper Liddle tested in defence, with Murray Bridge stepping up the pressure.

Murray Bridge were next to try for goal , but again Jet too strong in protecting the goals.

The team really made some great passes, with Harry to Cooper to Hayden for another Hahndorf goal.

Next saw Harry take a shot for goal and succeed….  Lucy and Ben both getting in the action now in the striker zone, both taking shots for goal, unfortunately not lucky on these occasions.  As the first half was drawing to a close Cooper managed to take and convert 2 more goals for Hahndorf.

Second half

First play efforts for goals came from Murray Bridge and were just cleared out by Hahndorf, just in time. Jet out of keeper, Daniel Peters now in goalie, changed things up for Hahndorf.  Riley Neumann was quick to make his mark on the second half, scoring 2 quick goals.

Jet took a shot that was defended by the Murray Bridge goalie who really had his work cut out for him.  Ollie Aylen also making his presence felt in the in defence, quick to intercept and brave in the tackles that his put on.  Again the Murray Bridge goalie working hard, defending a barrage of attempts by Hahndorf.  After a quick break on the bench, Harry came on with a cross to Jet that resulted in a goal.  Break out play saw Murray Bridge make for goals, well defended by Daniel, not letting it through.  The  second breakthrough play through the middle of the pitch from Murray Bridge, resulted in their second goal.  Late efforts from Murray Bridge saw them get another 3 goals late in the half and Riley taking the play right through the middle to score again.  Another 2 goals by Murray Bridge, who never gave up to finish with 5 great goals total.
