Match report

The rain stopped just minutes before Hahndorf Under 9’s took on Mount Barker United Red at Rob Kilpatrick Park late Saturday morning. Miles Hennessy started off the game strong, scoring a goal within the first opening minute. However, that made Mount Barker United eager to get stuck into the game which then resulted in a very evenly matched first half. Angus Ross and Saxon Sulskis kept the pressure on Mount Barker United in defense turning the ball around before Mount Barker had any attempts at goal. Harris Parkyn did wonderful in the midfield, bringing the ball up the line and passing it onto Michael Griggs and Hennessy who both had some excellent shots at goal. 

The second half saw Leo Davies as goalkeeper again who showed his goalkeeping skills and made some amazing saves. Mount Barker United put a lot of pressure on our defense, however the boys managed to get it out of the opposition forward line and with some good passing by our midfields Charlie Roeszler and Parkyn we managed to get a few more shots at goal.
