Match report

It was a nice winter’s day for soccer at Hahndorf’s home ground between Hahndorf and Stirling Districts White. In a hard fought first half neither team managed to get a score on the board. Thomas Gould was great in defence helping Ashon Broadbent-Shaw as goalie. Both saved a couple of shots on goal by Stirling. The centres and forwards for Hahndorf kept applying the pressure to Stirling’s defence throughout the first half unfortunately for no reward. Once the second half started both teams made it clear they were there to get a score on the board. Stirling prevailed first with a nice play despite great attempts by Hahndorf’s defence. Once the ball went back to the centre it was clear that Hahndorf was not going to give up. There were a couple of shots on goal by both Ashon and Hugo Curtis with Hugo’s attempt late in the second half finding the back of the net to equalise. It was good to see some great passing and teamwork amongst Hahndorf. Every game the team looks stronger and stronger, and we look forward to watching their next game.
