It was a cold drizzly morning at Woodside for the U11's this week. Stirling came out of the gates with an early, a goal from a well-placed ball high into the back of the net got them on the board. Woodside used this to fuel their fire and spur them on, with first time goal kickers Miller and Harley contributing one each, and Sam and Griffin also adding to Woodside’s first half tally of four.
Stirling tried valiantly to counter the attack they had endured in the first half but a strong team defence by Woodside held them to just two goals for the game. Woodside’s ability to work together in both attack and defence was commendable especially considering the soaking they received throughout the game, and the fact that they had no one on the bench to give tired legs a rest. Great work Woodside Warriors.
