Match report

Hahndorf played one of their best games for the season, displaying some great ball skills, strong teamwork and greater confidence.  From the start of the game there was consistent passing between players and plenty of opportunities to attack, the first shot at goal being taken by Eden Stell. Good to have Anu Duggin Delany back, who worked hard up and down the field and scored with a sensational goal in the first half. Duggin Delany worked well with Amelie Rymer and Charlotte Rymer who were strong in the attack, keeping the Stirling team under pressure.  In our back lines, Saskia Merry and Kaylee Sheremetjev were strong in defence, and Scout Ramsey sensational in goals.  Stirling snuck through a goal to even up the score just before half time.   In the second half there were plenty of opportunities for both teams to score, with Duggin Delany, Stell and Ramsey working hard in the middle to get the ball forward to C. Rymer and A. Rymer, with both having shots on goal which unfortunately didn’t convert.  Merry again played an excellent defensive half and had plenty of clearing kicks to the midfield. Sheremetjev tried hard to keep the Stirling attack at bay but a quick goal from Stirling early on in the second half had the team working hard for the rest of the game to level the score.  A fantastic effort from everyone today with sensational teamwork and encouragement between players.
