Match report

With the welcome sun shining brightly for both players and spectators, Woodside Warriors Blue had a tense match against Stirling Blue.

The first half was evenly contested although both teams had many shots on goal. Despite his small size goalkeeper Gus Albrecht held on to all the shots zooming at him.Tomke Dostel cleared the ball from defence with some booming kicks while Daniel Ebden, Toby Smith and Amber Bowman showed their dribbling skills have improved immensely. Debutant Rhys Thompson displayed potential and will be an asset to the team.

Stirling began the second half strongly with play in their half for the first 10 minutes, finally gaining a breakthrough. Later in the match Woodside pushed more forward. Liam Harding often took the ball up the field with some good dribbling while Ivy Levy continues to gain confidence with this week going into the pack to get the ball. Daniel Salagaras and Jo Smith had plenty of kicks to be valuable team members. While the Blues didn't find the back of the net this week, all team members are contributing well and improving with every game.
