Match Report 15 August, 2020

On Saturday, 15 August, 2020 at 1.30pm the Hahndorf Magpies U13 Girls competed against the Torrens Valley Rams.  The match was played at Birdwood Park where recent rain had soaked the pitch, leaving the surface extremely wet and muddy.  After Hahndorf won the toss, the first half of the match was filled with many attempts at goal by both teams.  Hahndorf’s, Gracie Curtis and Grace Haynes began the campaign to score a goal, but unfortunately their attempts were not converted, leaving the scoreboard with a 0-0 result at half time.  

Torrens Valley Rams kicked off the second half of the match with a strong, attack game plan, however they were initially left scoreless due to Hahndorf’s Charlotte Fairley’s superior goal keeping skills, fending off one attempt that was kicked long and high.  Hahndorf’s defence line worked tirelessly to keep Torrens Valley Rams scoreless but, eventually they broke through and scored three goals in quick succession.  While there was a couple of late attack attempts from Hahndorf, the final score was 3-0 to Torrens Valley Rams.
