A blustery day greeted the teams to Strath for this Round 4 fixture, both teams have had similar results leading into this week so it promised to be a good encounter. Playing 10 a side with school holidays again effecting team numbers, Strath White started the stronger with several attempts on goal, most going above the crossbar. Stirling broke through Strath's defence and made no mistake to take the lead. Strath having subs made a difference with a couple of changes proving fruitful as Strath's striker Layla Frahn poking home her first. Layla very quickly responded with two more well taken goals, benefitting from team play to get the ball there. Estelle Dybala in midfield worked tirelessly to continue to provide Strath momentum going forward, providng passes to Leah Davis, Bonnie Clothier and Brooklyn Rigney.
Half Time 3-1
Further Strath changes at half time were wearing the Stirling girls out who kept on task and proving not everyone needs subs! Strath scored a fourth and seemingly were content at the score line, however Stirling were not and kept fighting, forcing Matilda Mundy to use her face to keep the ball out of the net! Stirling scored their second just minutes from the end of time.
An end to end game and full credit to Stirling who kept fighting really hard with two less players!
