The Woodside Girls played at home again this week. With a couple of new players joining them at training, they were now preparing to take to the pitch for their first game with the team and for some their first game of soccer. The game started solidly on both sides with a lot of action in the mid-field, and it took some time before the first score of the match was made for Torrens Valley. The Woodside players reset and continued to keep the pressure on their opposition. The Woodside defenders had to work hard, which they did extremely well and Woodside's keeper must be commended for her solid performance throughout the game. Credit to Torrens Valley on some good play, and their own solid defence work that kept Woodside from scoring, despite a number of strong runs forward.
