Match report
The Hahndorf u9s played a solid game against Stirling United for their round 10 match.  In the first half Hahndorf were quick out the blocks and pushed forward  with Hugo Curtis and Thomas Gould creating scoring opportunities. Joshua Blain and Rowan Gilroy were solid in defence, intercepting the ball when Stirling United attempted to enter their attacking half. The Stirling United goalkeeper was kept busy defending shots from Hahndorf. Hahndorf's persistence paid off when Gould had a free kick and converted by kicking over the opposition's heads for a brilliant goal.

Hahndorf continued attacking with Owen Hoyle running down the flank with a good shot at goal, which was just saved on the line.
Stirling United were determined to push the ball forward and despite strong goalkeeping from Hahndorf's Oliver Knight, Stirling managed a great goal to level the score. Hahndorf responded with Gould converting again towards the end of the first half.

In the second half Hahndorf had the majority of play.  Mason Saywell and Hoyle were a thorn in Stirling United's side, thwarting their attacks.
Great teamwork saw Curtis and Knight shooting for goals which unfortunately were saved. Throughout the second half, Soren Mickan and Gould kept attacking too. Mickan scored a fine goal as a result of great passing by Hahndorf and soon after Gould found the back of the net again for Hahndorf. Blain's goalkeeping in the second half kept Hahndorf safe and Knight chased down his opponent to save a goal at the end of the match.

It was an evenly fought match, and a great team effort by both Hahndorf and Stirling United.
