Match report

On a cold, but thankfully not too wet Saturday two strong teams faced off on a very boggy pitch. Torrens Valley were supportive of the fact that the SDFC U13 girls team was not able to get enough players on the field so both teams took on the game with 9 players each. Torrens Valley being able to use their substitutes took full advantage of using their strong team to create a tough match for the SDFC girls.

Torrens Valley scored their first goal 9 minutes into the game, but this didn't stop the SDFC girls from trying their best. Many shots were made at the goal, but Charlotte Langley used her strength and determination to consistently block and hold off any more goals until just before half time.

The SDFC girls approached their coach (Bill) tired and yet full of enthusiasm for the next half. Bill's half time talk had his team ready to face whatever was coming to them next - lots of plays for goals, from both teams. Charlotte continued with her strength and was able to block more incoming attacks, but was unable to block one superb play on goal in the 50th minute and Torrents Valley scored their final goal for the day.

All players and coaches were proud of the efforts of both teams as they keep improving each match.
