There were a few nervous faces among the Woodside parents before kick-off as Murray Bridge looked a bigger side overall. However the contest was very well matched from the outset with both teams sharing a relatively even amount of possession in the first half. 

Odin was outstanding in goal throughout the first half with the rock-solid defence of Ethan ensuring that Odin didn't see too much action. Was a great defensive effort, with Murray Bridge possibly having the attacking edge early.  

Oliver B had two quality shots on goal late in the first half - the first was particularly good and very well stopped by the MB goalie. 

Things seemed to open up a bit more in the second half, with credit to Troy for helping the team space a little better coming out of defense. Great work to Freddie with a couple of good saves on goal and some more good clearing by Ethan. It was another evenly matched half but Woodside legs seemed to get the better of the tiring MB squad which resulted in a fast break goal opportunity for Woodside, converted by Patrick Lord. Well done Patrick!
