Match report
Today our U13Gs headed out to Anembo park to face Mt Barker. A combination of good weather and confidence had everyone in good spirits. Unfortunately Mt Barker only had 9 players available, leaving 5 of the Woodside girls on the bench. A big thankyou to all the girls who were good sports about this! We took an early lead from a stunning hat trick performed by striker, Sophie Urwin. This was followed up by a strong run made by our centre midfielder Maya Nambiar who snuck a goal past the keeper, putting us 4-0 up at half time. With so many girls on the bench and a comfortable lead there were many changes to our lineup, changing keepers, and giving defenders the opportunity to have a run up front and s ire some goals! Well we did just that, Rebecca Wall smacked two goals into the back of the net, followed by a well celebrated goal by Bree Mensforth and sneaky score by our previous keeper, Rachel colla. We finished up the match with an 8-0 win, 4 goals scored in each half proving all of our Woodside girls are hungry for goals and loving having fun while scoring them! Thankyou to all the supportive parents who come out every week with such a positive attitude! Great game from the girls, I am very proud of them all! ⚽️
