Match report

Stirling District vs Torrens Valley

Well the weather turned it on for the visitors with the sun peeping through every now and again.  Torrens Valley won the toss and push it forward however Stirling got hold and turned towards the TV defence line.  TV was having none of that and got hold of the ball and pushed forward towards the Stirling District goal.  All players were trying their very best to get the first goal.  Whenever these teams have played in previous years it has always been a good contest, today was no different.  TV scored the three goals.  Stirling District came out with determination and focus to get back into the game.  Lots of great passes and challenging the visitors making them work for the goals.  The next and final goal in the first half was by the home team.

There was a penalty shot on goal for Stirling District however unable to score.

In the second half TV tried to score a quick goal at the start.   Not long TV scored another goal with Stirling Districts trying to do the same at the other end by the TV defence were working well together to stop that from happening by the goalie and defence players.  There was a lot more running from one end to the other and each team trying to score goals and both defences working well.  TV scored 2 more goals and had a penalty shot on goal however no score from that.

One thing the score does not show is that these 2 teams are well matched and it is  a challenge every time they play.  We look forward to seeing Stirling District throughout this short season and knowing we will be challenged to the end.
