The sun and the smiles came out as these two teams faced each other for the second time this season. The Stirling District team were down three players, so Mount Barker helped out and allowed for the game to be played as 10 on 10.

Stirling District started strong, making many shots for goals, but to no avail as they just never quite met the mark. In her first time in the goals En was able to hold off the shots at goals that were coming in thick and fast from Mount Barker - taking extraordinary measures to ensure that the ball never made it pass the goal line.

As the second half started the tired Stirling team found their defensive play more challenging and two goals made it through in quite close succession. The girls did not let this dampen their spirits as they kept the ball moving through their half of the pitch - making so many shots at goals that the parents were holding their breath so often it was surprising they didn't turn blue.

As always, the grateful Stirling side left the ptich to the sounds of clapping and were proud of their best team effort this season.
